BRUNS & BACHÉ is a Los Angeles based 9-piece retro-soul band named after their founder, drummer-bandleader-producer Jason Lee BRUNS [Bruhns] and frontman-vocalist-songwriter Kevín BACHÉ [bah-shay] The band features LA’s A-list session players who have played with Beck, Ziggy Marley, Phil Collins, Michael Bublé, and Arturo Sandoval.
Powerful rock-like lead vocals, tight horns, and soulful backing vocals create a vintage sound that music critics liken to “a modern-day Chicago/Blood Sweat & Tears”. BRUNS & BACHÉ songs are known for catchy melodies and driving energy that brings audiences to their feet throughout live shows.
“Tribute con Salsa” (feat. Andy Garcia) and “Get Back” are two new EPs coming this summer and pressed on colored vinyl with cover art by Curl Merlo. The EPs were recorded at the famous EastWest Studio Two (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Whitney Houston). Songs were mixed by Grammy-winning mixer Craig Bauer (Kane West, Ed Sheeran) and mastered by Dave Collins (No Doubt, The Police).
“Tribute con Salsa” (feat. Andy Garcia) is unique latin inspired tributes dedicated to recently passed mainstream artists; including Tom Petty, Prince, Joe Cocker, and Aretha Franklin.
“Get Back” showcases “jazz-pop” originals with a bonus tribute to Chris Cornell (Sound Garden, Audio Slave).
BRUNS & BACHÉ’s past two albums were Top-10 charting (College Music Journal, Roots Music Report) airing on 300+ radio stations nationwide. Multiple songs from the “Cherry Avenue” album received weekly spins on 300+ stations nationwide, including L.A.’s KKJZ 88.1FM.
The band is performing to sold-out audiences at Southern California’s top venues, including Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the Catalina Club (Sunset Strip, Hollywood, CA). In 2019 they completed their second multi-city Japan Tour.

RIP to legendary saxophonist and a genuine friend of many. A founding member of this band, Zane was an incomprehensible musical force of nature that elevated any project he was a part of. Among others, he also played with Jimmy Kimmel Live, Carson Daily Show, Christina Aguilera, Arturo Sandoval, John Mayer, and Macy Gray. He is remembered greatly by this band and the jazz scene at large.
